Additionally, data is available on over 20,600 of the most popular domestic open end mutual funds. Value Line has applied its experience in covering and rating equities to evaluating and rating mutual funds. Value Line Databases
Datafile
The extensive historical information available for each publicly traded company is a valuable tool for institutional money managers, while the weekly updates and estimates and projections keep users abreast of the most recent developments. This information is essential to form accurate opinions on a company's fundamentals and it provides a frame of reference for the company's probable performance in the next 6 to 12 months and over the 3 to 5 year term.
While most companies fit into an industrial reporting format, Value Line has created special models for financial firms that do not fit an industrial format. Industries such as banks, thrift institutions, brokerage firms and insurance companies are reported in formats that quickly and accurately convey their financials and true value and performance.
Whole companies, and/or industries, can be compared, contrasted and evaluated in moments, tremendously increasing the productivity and capabilities of portfolio managers and analysts.
You have access to the renowned Value Line ranking system for Timeliness, which has a track record of outperforming all the well-known market indexes and other price performance measures. Some of the other proprietary rankings include Safety, Financial Strength, Industry Timeliness, Earnings Predictability and Price Growth Persistence.
